Special Interests

For the past several years mayor Hiremath and council members Hornat, Snider, and Waters have relied on Special Interests contributors to fund their successful campaigns. These contributors are not interested in advancing the democratic process, rather their own economic objectives.

We will review this topic in further detail in future up dates.However, we want to share with residents, the magnitude of these special interest “donations” to the four incumbents now seeking reelection for a 3rd term.

The chart below quantifies the Special Interest donations between 2014 and 2016 to the current mayor and six member council who will decide on developer and builder requests for zoning changes to build higher structures, on smaller lots, with minimum setbacks.
